BAMBOO BEDDING

Sustainable luxury you can actually feel

Bamboo bedding is more than a fabric swap. The fibre is naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, so it holds warmth when you need it and moves moisture away when you don't. The result is a bed that stays comfortable through the night instead of one you keep kicking off and pulling back on.

It feels silky rather than crisp, which is why people who find cotton a little rough usually notice the difference within a night or two. Because the surface is smooth, it is also naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on skin and hair. And bamboo grows fast on very little water, so the environmental case stacks up too.

Breathable and temperature-regulating

Bamboo fibres are hollow, which lets air move through the weave and lets moisture escape before it turns clammy. In summer that means you stay cool without a fan running all night; in winter the same fibre traps a layer of warm air and keeps it there. If you tend to overheat, our page on temperature-regulating bamboo bedding goes into the detail, and if you wake up damp there is a separate piece on what to do about night sweats.

Soft against your skin

Our bedding is woven at 400 thread count in a satin weave, which gives it a smooth, cool-to-the-touch surface without any coating or finish. That smoothness is also why it is kind to skin and hair — it is a favourite among people following the Curly Girl method. Read more about what 400 thread count actually means for how a sheet feels.

OUR RANGE

Not sure which size you need? The bedding size guide  lists UK and US sizes side by side with the centimetres we use, and there are dedicated pages for single beds and double beds. Buying for someone else? A gift card lets them pick their own colour.

Bamboo compared with cotton

Cotton is the default, not the benchmark. Bamboo is smoother against the skin, moves moisture faster and regulates temperature better, and it does all that on a fraction of the water cotton needs. We set the two out honestly, including where cotton still wins, on bamboo vs cotton bedding and in our article on the difference between bamboo and cotton.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose bamboo bedding?

Bamboo bedding offers a unique blend of luxury, comfort and sustainability. The fibres are hypoallergenic, breathable and naturally antibacterial – perfect for restorative sleep. With Boomba Bamboo® you also choose certified-sustainable production with minimal environmental impact.

Are bamboo sheets sustainable?

Yes, our bamboo sheets are produced sustainably from start to finish: certified bamboo plantations (no pesticides, minimal water), the closed-loop Tanboocel™ process, and OEKO-TEX®, ECOCERT and Organic 100 certifications. Plus they last 5+ years with proper care – sustainable in every sense.

Is bamboo bedding an environmentally conscious choice?

Absolutely. Bamboo grows quickly, requires minimal water and no pesticides. Compared to conventional cotton, our certified bamboo cultivation saves up to 90% water and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions.

What makes Boomba Bamboo® bedding so special?

Our bedding is crafted from certified, sustainably grown bamboo and processed using innovative techniques that preserve both its hypoallergenic properties and silky softness. With OEKO-TEX®, ECOCERT and Organic 100 certifications and a 400 TC weave, Boomba Bamboo® delivers premium luxury you can feel every night.

Does bamboo bedding stay soft after multiple washes?

Yes, our bamboo bedding even becomes softer with each wash. The natural fibres maintain their structure for years – provided you follow the gentle care instructions: wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle with mild detergent, no fabric softener.

How does bamboo bedding contribute to better sleep?

Bamboo bedding regulates body temperature and absorbs moisture, helping prevent overheating and sweat. The silky-soft texture and hypoallergenic properties create the ideal sleep climate – for deep, restful nights.

How environmentally friendly is the production of bamboo bedding?

The production of Boomba Bamboo® bedding follows the highest standards: certified sustainable cultivation, the closed-loop Tanboocel™ process and ECOCERT- and Organic 100-certified sourcing. The entire chain is designed to minimise environmental impact.

How does bamboo bedding feel compared with cotton?

Bamboo feels noticeably softer and silkier than cotton – many compare it to silk. While cotton can feel coarser, bamboo glides smoothly across the skin. Bamboo is also more breathable and offers better moisture absorption.

What makes bamboo bedding suitable for sensitive skin types?

Bamboo fibres are naturally hypoallergenic and have an exceptionally smooth surface that soothes the skin. They actively reduce skin irritation and prevent bacterial growth – ideal for people with eczema, allergies or sensitive skin in general. OEKO-TEX®-certified and free from harmful substances.

What certifications does Boomba Bamboo® hold?

Our products carry OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (free from harmful substances), ECOCERT (certified sustainable production) and Organic 100 (100% organic origin). Together these guarantee maximum safety, transparency and environmental responsibility.
