BAMBOO BEDDING SIZE GUIDE

We take sleep, comfort and sustainability seriously, and that starts with bedding that actually fits. A sheet that is too small pulls loose at the corners; a duvet cover that is too big leaves the filling bunched at one end. This guide sets out every size we make, with the UK and US names next to the centimetres, and a direct link to each size so you can go straight to the product.

All our fitted sheets have a 35 cm pocket, which is deep enough for a thick mattress plus a protector. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one.

How to measure your bed

Take a tape measure and note three figures: the width, the length and the depth of your mattress. Width and length decide which fitted sheet you need; depth decides whether the standard 35 cm pocket is enough. For a duvet cover, measure the duvet itself rather than the bed, because a cover that is too tight compresses the filling and costs you warmth.

UK and US size names

The same word means different mattresses in different countries, which is where most ordering mistakes come from. This is how they line up with our sizes:

OUR CATEGORIES

Topper fitted sheet sizes

A topper sheet has a shallower 10 cm pocket so it sits flat instead of bunching.

Split topper fitted sheet sizes

For adjustable beds, our split topper sheets move with the base instead of pulling tight when you raise the head end.

Duvet cover sizes

Measure your duvet, not your bed. Every size comes with a button closure or a tuck-in strip.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose the right bedding for my bedroom?

Consider mattress size (height especially!), preferred comfort (cool/warm), allergies and aesthetic. For most bedrooms, a 4-season bamboo set offers maximum versatility – the right size, hypoallergenic and gorgeous in 9 colours.

How do I store my bedding optimally?

Store bedding clean, dry and breathable – ideally in a fabric bag or in a slightly open closet. Avoid plastic bags (mould risk) and direct sunlight (colour fading). Folded or rolled, both work fine.

How often should I change my bedding?

Generally every 1–2 weeks. With heavy sweating, allergies or kids in bed, weekly is better. Pillowcases ideally every 3–4 days, since most contact with skin and hair occurs there.

What's the best material for bedding?

Bamboo offers the perfect combination of softness, breathability, hypoallergenic properties and sustainability. For premium quality without compromise it beats cotton, linen, microfibre and polyester.

What does TC (thread count) mean?

Thread count is the number of threads woven per square inch. Higher TC means a denser, smoother, more luxurious feel. 200 TC is standard, 400 TC (Boomba Bamboo®) is premium, 600+ TC is hotel-luxury.

Is bamboo bedding suitable for children's beds?

Yes, OEKO-TEX®-certified, hypoallergenic bamboo bedding is ideal for children's beds. The naturally antibacterial properties and silky-soft feel make it perfect for sensitive children's skin.

Is bamboo bedding ideal for couples?

Yes, the temperature-regulating, breathable properties suit different sleep preferences perfectly. Hot sleepers stay cool, cold sleepers stay warm – through the same duvet. Plus the antibacterial fibres extend the time between washes.

What sizes are right for a single bed?

For a single bed (90×200 cm) you'll need a 90×200 fitted sheet, a 140×200 or 140×220 duvet cover, plus a pillowcase 60×70, 50×60 or 40×60 cm. Boomba Bamboo® has all of these in 9 colours.

What suitable bedding is there for guest beds?

For guest beds, single bamboo bedding is ideal – luxurious, hypoallergenic and impressive on guests. Choose neutral colours (Coco White, Soft Taupe) for universal appeal.

What sizes are right for a double bed?

For a double bed (typically 140×200 to 180×200 cm) you'll need a matching fitted sheet, a 200×200 (or 240×220) duvet cover, plus 2 pillowcases. Often two single duvets are nicer than one large – everyone has their own warmth setting.
