HYPOALLERGENIC BAMBOO BEDDING

What does hypoallergenic actually mean?

Hypoallergenic bedding is made from materials that are less likely to trigger an allergic reaction. It does not mean allergens vanish; it means the fabric gives them far less to work with. A smooth, tightly woven fibre holds fewer dust mites, less dander and less moisture than a coarse or loosely woven one, so there is less in your bed to react to in the first place.

Bamboo does this naturally rather than through a chemical treatment. The fibre is smooth, breathes well and wicks moisture away quickly, which matters because dust mites need humidity to thrive. Dry bedding is unattractive bedding, as far as they are concerned.

Our promise

We know how much a safe, comfortable sleeping environment matters. Our bamboo bedding helps keep allergens to a minimum, so you can sleep without thinking about it. No chemical anti-allergy finish that washes out after ten cycles, just a fibre that behaves this way on its own.

Every piece is made from 100% organic bamboo and certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, ECOCERT and Organic 100. OEKO-TEX in particular tests the finished fabric for harmful substances, which is the certificate that counts if your skin reacts easily.

Good for everyone

A good night's sleep starts with the right choices. Hypoallergenic bedding gives you comfort and a healthier sleeping environment at the same time: natural bamboo reduces your exposure to allergens, so you sleep well and wake up refreshed.

It is a particularly sensible choice if you have hay fever, dust mite allergy, asthma or eczema, or if you are buying for a child. But the fabric is not a medical product and it is not only for people with a diagnosis. Most of our customers simply notice they sleep less clammy and wake up less itchy.

And because we think about more than your bed, the same fibre is a lighter choice for the planet: bamboo grows fast, needs no pesticides and regrows from its own root system. Good for you, good for the earth.
