The fibre is smooth and closed, so there is less friction against your skin than with cotton, and it carries moisture away instead of holding it against you. Our fabric is tested for harmful substances under OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Bedding is not a treatment, so if you have a skin condition, follow your doctor's advice as well.
Our bedding carries three independent certifications. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means the finished fabric, including the dyes, has been tested for harmful substances. ECOCERT checks that the bamboo is grown organically, without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, and Organic 100 (Organic Content Standard) confirms the organic content of the fabric from plantation to finished textile. Because bamboo viscose is smooth and draws heat away from your skin quickly. Thread count (TC) is the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric, counting both directions. A higher thread count generally gives a smoother, denser fabric. Our sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are 400 TC, and because bamboo fibre is finer than cotton, it feels comparable to a much higher cotton thread count.
